This June is starting with two special days, such as World Bicycle Day on 3 June 2022 and World Environment Day on 5 June 2022. These are two occasions which the celebration is very suitable to be combine with the movement that goes hand in hand.
There are many benefits of using a bicycle that drawn to what is World Bicycle Day concerned. Cycling is not just a sport with significant benefits for health, and it is equitable and cost-effective to be a preferred active transport as a part of our mobility solution. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), safe infrastructure for cycling is a pathway for achieving greater health equity, and also for the poorest urban sector, who often cannot afford private vehicles, walking and cycling can provide a form of transport while reducing the risk of heart disease, stroke, certain cancers, diabetes, and even death.
Besides that, cycling is also something we can do to protect our environment as using a bicycle for our daily mobilization means that we are reducing the amount of greenhouse gas emissions from vehicle pollution, and to improve air quality and road safety. While pollution is one of the causes of the decreasing quality of the environment on earth.

As cycling is an environmentally fit and sustainable means of transportation, the World Bicycle Day would be good to combine with the World Environment Day
According to un.org, World Environment Day this year calls for collective and transformative action on a global scale to celebrate, protect and restore our planet. Also, the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) welcomed initiatives to organize bicycle rides at the national and local levels to celebrate World Bicycle Day.
