Quoted from Medical Eye Center’s web site, an optometrist received a doctor of optometry (OD) degree, but they are not a medical doctor. Optometrists are eye care professionals who provide primary vision care ranging from sight testing and correction to the diagnosis, treat injuries and disease, administer visual rehabilitation and therapy and management of vision changes. Optometrist has an important role in providing eye care with a certain levels of training and expertise.

According to optometriceducation.org, Optometrists completing four years of optometry school to get the degree, preceded by at least three years of college, then licensed to practice optometry which primarily involves performing eye exams and vision tests, prescribing and dispensing corrective lenses, detecting certain eye abnormalities and prescribing medications for certain eye diseases.

To support this campaign, you have to know the story behind being an optometrist. One key point for the Optometrists is the satisfaction of knowing that they did made someone’s life better and help bring smiles each day by open people’s eyes to see to the small beauties of the world. Optometrists should proud to be an Optometrist. So do you… You should proud to be you, whatever your profession is. Look at your struggle back then to reach your position now, appreciate and respect others who have done their best for good.
