We just came out of October celebrating Halloween. Did you dress up as anything or anyone?
One of the highlights of the ghoulish holiday was seeing what people prepared as their costumes. A few celebrities caught our attention. But it has to be said, supermodel Heidi Klum snatched the crown for this year’s most ridiculous and outstanding costume. At her Halloween party in New York this week, she showed up as a gigantic worm!
Now that Halloween has passed, and we’ve officially gone through almost 90% of 2022, let’s see what November has in store.
Historical dates are lined up this month. First, Guy Fawkes Day on the 5th commemorates a small group of plotters’ attempt to blow up the English Parliament in 1605. People outside England might recognize the quote: “Remember, remember, the fifth of November” from the movie V for Vendetta, which was inspired by the event. Second, Indonesians will also celebrate Heroes Day on the 10th. And as Revolutionary leader Bung Tomo cried on this day in 1945, “It’s better to be destroyed than to be not free!”
