The Southeast Asian sports event for athletes with disabilities, the 2022 ASEAN Para Games (APG) is only a few days to go. Starting July 30, 2022, the APG will begin until August 6, 2022. APG is a biennial multi-sport event, so 2022 will be the 11th time the APG has been held since 2001. Quoting to Wikipedia, participating athletes have a variety of disabilities ranging from spastic, cerebral palsy, mobility disabilities, visual disabilities, and amputated to intellectual disabilities. In addition, the ASEAN Para Games is also under the regulation of the ASEAN Para Sports Federation (APSF) under the supervision of the International Paralympic Committee (IPC) and the Asian Paralympic Committee and hosted by the country where the Southeast Asian Games are taking place.

For the second time, Indonesia hosted and greet the 10 other ASEAN member countries, such as Malaysia, Thailand, Singapore, Philippines, Laos, Timor Leste, Vietnam, Cambodia, Brunei Darussalam, and Myanmar in Solo, Central Java after previously Indonesia been hosted APG in 2011. There are 14 sports that will compete in the 2022 APG, including Athletics (AT), Swimming (SW), Badminton (BW), Table Tennis (TT), Chess (CH), Powerlifting (PO), Boccia (BO), Blind Judo (Judo), Goalball (GB), Wheelchair Tennis (WT), Para Archery (AR), CP Football (FT), Wheelchair Basketball (WB) and Sitting Volleyball (SV). With all these sports, there are 2,309 participants were registered consisting of 1,648 athletes and 661 officials from all ASEAN countries.

In order to initiate the implementation of the 2022 APG, a torch relay was held on July 23, which began with lighting the fire at the Api Abadi Mrapen, at Manggarmas Village, Grobogan, Central Java, to Semarang City, then Sukoharjo, Karanganyar, and ended in Solo. The enthusiasm to see athletes with disabilities from ASEAN countries competing at the regional level has also just arrived at Twibbonize.
