The executive department of the Philippine government which was founded in 1898 with the responsibilities to formulate, implement, and coordinate policies, plans, programs, and projects in the areas of formal and non-formal basic education, the Department of Education (DepEd) will celebrate its 124th founding anniversary on June 23, 2022. A week-long celebration has been started on Monday, June 20, 2022.
According to DepEd, the theme for this year’s DepEd anniversary is “PAMANA: Kahusayan at Tagumpay ng Edukasyon,” it symbolizes the Department’s commitment to providing quality education to all Filipino students.
The opening ceremony of the 124th founding anniversary of DepEd began with a flag-raising ceremony and was followed by a thanksgiving mass. Then, at the peak of the event, on Thursday, June 23, 2022, there will be a national parade, cultural dance, banner presentations, and legacy talks led by Education Secretary Leonor Briones.
With a bright and colorful frame, the DepEd created a Twibbonize frame to enliven its celebration on the digital platform.
